I love the Portland Bride & Groom magazine, so beautiful.
Also, we will be using that cute cow creamer server as decoration. Flowers from a tree in our yard.
Today let's talk about wedding florals. While I wish I could spend our whole budget on flowers, I think people would like to eat and drink and have other things like chairs etc. I chose only to have bridesmaid bouquets, a bouquet for myself, corsages for the mothers, and boutonnieres for all the men in the wedding party, including dad's. We will decorate tables and the ceremony with other low cost items such as bottles, vases, trinkets, and lights rather than flowers. This is one way I chose to keep the cost lower with flowers. While my favorite flowers, peonies, are not in season in September {should have chose our wedding date based solely on peony season} I am focusing on my next favorite flower and current obsession, peach and white garden roses. They look very similar and have that amazing fullness that makes peonies so beautiful. There will also be some ranunculus and brunia berries as well as other flowers to fill out the bouquets.
I won't give away too much, but if you're looking for some floral or wedding inspiration, you can check out my Wedding Love pinterest board.
For floral, I'll be using Belle Fleur Floral Design, located in Salem, Oregon.
That sounds beautiful. Peonies are one of my favorites as well. Ranunculus are also on the top of that list!
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing - since our wedding was in winter the tables had cedar boughs on them with white candles in mason jars on top - saved a ton of money!
ReplyDeleteIt all sounds gorgeous, I can't wait to see them!
