Wedding Talk Wednesday: 2.5 weeks

the wedding is a little over two weeks away!
how did that happen? We've been engaged for almost a year and a half and I feel like it's flown by. That's what everyone told me would happen. We have all the big stuff in place and now we are just doing little stuff. We have our ceremony to finalize which has been fun so far.

At this point, I'm trying not to add new projects to my plate. I saw a good piece of advice {forgot from whom} that was basically, the week of the wedding, NO new projects can be added to your list. If it's not done, it shouldn't be added because it will only bring stress. I've been giving projects to my parents and friends/family and it's been fun seeing how excited they get when it's done and they can show off their work to me. Also, I'm trying to limit wedding talk {with Jeff} to not every second of every conversation. I'm also trying to keep in mind and keep perspective about the reason for all of this is our marriage, not just the perfect dress or perfectly posed photos. Some days I feel like a crazy person {2 hour dress fitting today did me in} but then I remember it will all be worth it and Jeff and I will still have a killer party and an awesome life together even if everything isn't perfect.

It's also helpful that we've been going to a pre-martital counselor leading up to the wedding.
She's wonderful and I'm so glad we decided to do it, send me an email if you'd like her info!
I do feel like I'm in a wedding bubble right now where everyone is asking about it and sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed. There are so many things going on in the world and the community and in both our families and jobs that provide helpful reminders of how lucky and blessed we are to have this wedding and our life together.

  1. Wow, those are gorge!!!! Are those your wedding shoes? I had a big crisis picking out my wedding shoes but ended up with some classic ivory peeptoe ones by Nina, and I added silk poufs I made. BHLDN inspired.

I totally know the feeling, no time to add anything else to the plate--been there! Just gotta get through and do what you can and it will all work out!!!!
