Portland Fashion Week snaps

my breakfast was delicious but just a little different than our breakfasts on our honeymoon

My favorite dress of bridal wear

Mid-day break with Abby at Din Din {so cool, must go back!}

See how I took my dress from day to night? Comfy and with pockets too!

I had such a fun time attending shows at Portland Fashion Week! Thanks to PFW for inviting me to be a part of the Style Collective, I had VIP treatment, access to the VIP area, sat front row, lots of swag bags, red carpet photos, and I got to take it all in with some of my favorite Portland Bloggers!
Thanks PFW! Already looking forward to the next shows!
And someday in New York hopefully :)

Portland Fashion Week

Alfred Sung dress worn as skirt, Nordstrom BP shirt, J.Crew necklace, vintage Coach Willis bag, Forever 21 shoes, Target spike bracelet, J.Crew bangle

Jeff and I spent this weekend working on getting our apartment put back together after the wedding so I'll share some photos from Portland Fashion Week.

Any other fashion week I would have been obsessed with outfit planning. This year, not so much. I was so focused on the wedding and honeymoon and making sure I had everything for those things that I didn't pack any extra clothes for Portland Fashion Week. The plan had always been wedding, honeymoon, straight to Portland Fashion Week from the honeymoon. I can't believe I didn't bring other clothes or accessories! I didn't even have my fave heels with me! So. I had honeymoon clothes and my getaway dress/accessories from the wedding. Didn't think I'd be re-wearing those so soon! In true blogger fashion, I took this getaway dress from day to night by switching up my accessories, removing the shirt and adding a belt and leather jacket.

Lucky Lovin'

Lucky Brand jeans, shirt and belt c/o, Zara heels

I went through a big designer denim phase in high school/early college {disposable income ya know?} and once I outgrew most of those jeans, I went for cheaper jeans because those were more practical for my budget. I also hated almost every pair, they didn't hold up, they stretched out, they ripped, they faded, etc etc. Within the last year I bought a pair of designer denim which I wear often, which has me easing into paying for quality over quantity.

Since I was a part of the Style Collective for Portland Fashion Week, I was lucky {pun intended} enough to have a styling session with Lucky Brand! I haven't worn Lucky Brand in a while but I went into the session with an open mind because I've heard such good things about their jeans recently. I tried on this pair of Sofia skinny jeans and a pair of Sienna boyfriend jeans and I chose the Sofia's because they feel so amazing! They're tight without being uncomfortable, they have a higher rise in the back so I'm not flashing anyone when I sit, but a slightly lower rise in the front so they're not cutting off my stomach, and they are a great dark wash. Another cool fact about their denim is it's all made in the USA! Love that. I also chose that shirt because it was a little out of my comfort zone but it's so soft and I love that it's a great twist on a classic! And that camo belt, a perfect accessory for fall. Thanks to Portland Fashion Week and Lucky Brand for the styling session!

Disclaimer: I received complimentary goods from Lucky Brand. I did not receive additional compensation for this blog post. The choice to blog was my own and all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you.

I have exciting news!
I have been asked to be a part of the Portland Fashion Week Style Collective!
That means I'll be at Portland Fashion Week (Yes, almost immediately after my wedding, eek!) and I get to attend the shows and hang out with other amazing Portland Bloggers, some I already know and love and some I'm excited to get to know better. I'm so excited for this opportunity and you know I'll be sure to share about it all along the way.
