Portland Fashion Week snaps

my breakfast was delicious but just a little different than our breakfasts on our honeymoon

My favorite dress of bridal wear

Mid-day break with Abby at Din Din {so cool, must go back!}

See how I took my dress from day to night? Comfy and with pockets too!

I had such a fun time attending shows at Portland Fashion Week! Thanks to PFW for inviting me to be a part of the Style Collective, I had VIP treatment, access to the VIP area, sat front row, lots of swag bags, red carpet photos, and I got to take it all in with some of my favorite Portland Bloggers!
Thanks PFW! Already looking forward to the next shows!
And someday in New York hopefully :)

Vancouver Fashion Week

Vancouver Fashion Week is happening next week and like every fashion week, I wish I could be there!
I've been to Vancouver a few times {my brother used to live there} and it was always such a treat to visit! VFW is my newest {ok, only} sponsor and I'm working on getting my blog ready to start having more sponsors.

Bill Cunningham + Leather Sleeves

I've discussed my love for Bill Cunningham here and jackets with leather sleeves here. So the two together? I'm in love! My favorite part is that I didn't even see Bill's weekly 'On the Street' feature in the NY Times, my mom let me know about it! I've been wearing my crafty Zara imitation leather sleeve jacket {what I call the 'poor man's Zara jacket'} non-stop and I love that my mom was so excited to tell me about it being in the article.
I think those are all Zara versions in the feature, but I think mine is a good alternative!
Mine is a faux leather jacket from Target with an Old Navy Military Vest.

Sorry for the phone screen grab, and no I didn't wake up at 4:25 pm, just took the screen shot!

That's me!
I love the caption: Preppy and pretty, this bright spring look is equally adorable at the office or for brunch with the girls.
I feel like this was an extra birthday present from the universe, I feel pretty excited and honored to be featured! Thanks to SearsStyle and the photographer!

New Baubles

You might have noticed some new items in my post yesterday!

Remember this post about Bauble Bar? I chose this necklace and I am already so happy with my choice.

I purchased this Spike The Punch Bracelet on a whim, and again, I'm loving it. At first I wanted the purple one, but then I saw the pink one and it was half the price of the purple one, I knew it was a good sign.
plus, the packaging is SO cute!
{outfit preview for tomorrow!}

This gold sweater! I have already worn it twice since buying it. I have a theory that if I wear something new immediately, it's a good buy.
If I don't wear it right away or choose to 'save it' for something special {unless I have to save it for some reason, like an wedding}, it will sit around for ever and I won't wear it. I try not to save things, things I categorize as 'special' or 'fancy' end up being put on a pedestal and don't get worn much. Sometimes it makes sense to have special items like fancy dresses and heels, but I try to make regular days special by wearing fancy and fun things.
