hotel adrift

For Jeff's birthday we booked a room at Adrift Hotel in Long Beach, WA. 

We used a LivingSocial and it was well worth it! We had never been to Long Beach, Washington before but the hotel looked so cool we knew it would be fun to try it out. After our honeymoon, we realized how awesome it is to pick a great hotel with an equally amazing restaurant included. Our room was about 20 feet from the restaurant and we ate all our meals there, we even sat at the same table each time. Which was perfect so we could try multiple things! Everything we ate and drank was so delicious. The weekend of Jeff's birthday was also the Olympic opening ceremonies and thus the beginning of the Olympics and since we don't have cable at home, it was perfect to be in a hotel and be able to veg and watch a lot of TV! We actually came home and ordered cable right away so we could watch the rest of the Olympics. Had to. 

It was such a fun hotel, I can't wait to go back and hopefully we can make all our friends join us!

Happy Birthday Dad!

A little while ago, my dad and I {and my parents dog, Zoey} went to the beach for the afternoon. My dad wanted to get over there while it was still nice weather and even though it was a bit chilly, it was beautiful! We stopped at this cute drive thru coffee place {Mojo Coffee} that I've seen many times and it has Stumptown AND Big Train Chai! 
New favorite place to stop in Lincoln City. 

It was a great day trip with my dad! Looking forward to celebrating even more.

At the last minute on Friday, Jeff and I were invited to spend the weekend at the beach with our friends Leslie and Chris. We left Portland early in the morning on Saturday and got to Manzanita around lunch time.

pet as many dogs as possible

went home so full we didn't eat dinner

and just like that, it was time to head back to Portland

I had such a great and relaxing time. I am so grateful Leslie invited us. I had finals last week, Jeff has finals this week so it was great to get away and do nothing with friends. I left feeling grateful and refreshed. I hope everyone else had a good weekend!
