valentine prep

I pinned this recently and decided I would take some direct inspiration to make a few of my own valentines. I love making and sending valentines each year. I found these craft paper cards and envelopes in the $1 section at Target. The scallop edges are so cute!

Like I always say, I am not a DIY person.
All I used for this was a white sharpie paint pen and some craft paper cards.

And if you really want to buy one, here is the original.

textile printing class

Heather, me and Andrea

On Saturday I went to a textile printing class led by Heather of Aspen Summit and Andrea of The Girls Fort at West Elm in Portland. It was so fun to meet instagram friends in real life and bonus, they are so sweet! They taught me how to make a stamp and what kind of paint to use for fabric and I actually made two things! I am not a crafty or DIY person at all but it was fun! I stamped a tea towel and a tote bag, two things that I will definitely use. Thanks again ladies and West Elm!

wrap it up

I love wrapping presents! Jeff is so sweet and always offers to help but I always decline because I love it so much! This year I got my inspiration while browsing on pinterest. I snipped a few branches from our tree to get started. Kraft paper is easily found at The Dollar Store and I had the bakers twine from years past. As for the name tags, I bought name tags last year but couldn't find them {I spent about 30 seconds looking before giving up. Lazy much?} so I just cut some out of leftover cardstock. I'm going to be honest, this is about as DIY as I ever get. Enjoy!

Valentine's Day card prep

Stella & Dot bracelets and Fossil watch (Jaime's)

Valentine's Day is 9 days away!
Over the weekend Jaime, Abby, and I made cards for the upcoming holiday of love.
We focused on the combo of red, pink, mint, gold, and silver.
My favorite were the ones with the glitter tape from Michael's.

gold confetti art

inspired by this and this I made this:

Supplies needed:
Canvas, any size
Sparkly or colored scrapbook paper, can be found at Craft Warehouse or Michael's
1" circle punch
Glue or adhesive {I used Mod Podge}
 Step 1: Punch circles

 Step 2: Organize circles
Step 3: Glue on; if using Mod Podge, the circles might have a tough time staying flat, in which I just placed something heavy on top of the canvas while it dried.
Step 4: Hang on wall! There you go, one of the easiest crafts I've found on Pinterest!
