Ponderosa & Thyme valentine's

Recently I discovered Ponderosa & Thyme, a Salem based florist and event planning duo, {and obviously fell in LOVE} so I knew I had to make a visit to their Valentine's Day pop-up shop. I asked Jeff to take me there before dinner so I could meet them and see the pop-up shop. Aren't they the cutest? I love meeting Salem creatives. They made each bouquet to order and I am in love with mine! And bonus it was in Broadway Coffeehouse, had to get a coffee too!

Coffee and flowers are basically my love language. And donuts.
Jeff brought me and two of my co-workers heart shaped donuts on Valentine's Day, he's a keeper!

Sorry for the low qual iphone photos but hey, that's life.

valentine's brunch

Happy Monday of Valentine's Week!

A few weekends ago Justine, her sister Rachel, and I got together for a Valentine's brunch.
We had heart waffles, fried eggs, mini donuts, fresh fruit, yummy potatoes, broiled grapefruit, french press coffee and of course, mimosas!

I know I say it every year but I love Valentine's Day.
I love celebrating with Jeff, it's always fun but I equally love celebrating with my girlfriends.
Heart shaped everything, candy, flowers, glitter, hand written notes, love love love.
It's a nice little pick-me-up in winter. Especially this year with all this snow and crazy weather.

All photos by Justine and Rachel.

valentine prep

I pinned this recently and decided I would take some direct inspiration to make a few of my own valentines. I love making and sending valentines each year. I found these craft paper cards and envelopes in the $1 section at Target. The scallop edges are so cute!

Like I always say, I am not a DIY person.
All I used for this was a white sharpie paint pen and some craft paper cards.

And if you really want to buy one, here is the original.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
This is one of my favorite days of the year!!
I hope you get to enjoy it, whether it's with a partner, best friend, family, co-workers, whoever!
I hope it's filled with lots of sugar, yummy treats, flowers, sunshine, rainbows, chocolate, paper hearts, confetti and of course, love.

ps. That Grumpy Cat cookie set was my gift to Jeff {he loves grumpy cat!} and we definitely don't think love stinks :) The cookies are from Whipped Baked Shop
Thanks to my sister for the tip!

It's almost Valentine's Day!

Old Navy mint sweater, Francesca's pleated skirt, Steve Madden Poized heels,
Nordstrom Rack necklace.

It's almost Valentine's Day!
I've been so in love with the mint/red combo for Valentine's Day this year that I had to wear it to a fabulous party on Saturday. I also used it for a bunch of my Valentine's.
I'll be sharing more photos from the lovely girls night valentine's day party soon.
How are you celebrating this lovely holiday?
Exclusively on Thursday or all week/month long?
You know how I feel.

Valentine's Day card prep

Stella & Dot bracelets and Fossil watch (Jaime's)

Valentine's Day is 9 days away!
Over the weekend Jaime, Abby, and I made cards for the upcoming holiday of love.
We focused on the combo of red, pink, mint, gold, and silver.
My favorite were the ones with the glitter tape from Michael's.

Keep Calm and Marry On

Jordan and Liz threw a bridal shower for Kristin this weekend. They chose a pink and red theme, similar to the shower I threw for liz {seen here}, but took it one themed step further. They requested everyone dress in pink and red as well. Perfect!

I made some yummy red velvet cupcakes

Liz and I made marshmellow pops, so easy, so pretty, so delicious

What a delight helping to set up this shower for Kristin! This time last year Kristin and I were planning a shower for Liz, and here we are at Kristin's first bridal shower! It was such a fun time, a great group of girls, great food, and everything looked so amazing. Everyone looked so amazing too!
I am so happy for Kristin and her fiance Michael. I can't wait to see how their wedding turns out, I know it will be absolutely beautiful and full of love.
