fresh flower crown

Happy Tuesday!

I made this fresh flower crown at an end of the summer BBQ with some of my favorite ladies and it's making me happy. I'm not ready to let summer go, luckily we've got more warm temps ahead!

Honeymoon: Pt. 2 Salvation Mountain

Salvation Mountain was about 1.5 hour from Palm Springs and I knew we had to go once I learned about it. Read more about the background here. I thought this might be a touristy place to visit and when we showed up we thought there were other people there because of other cars being present but the second we stepped out of the car we realized we were the only ones there. It was the quietest place I've ever been, a little eerie, I can't explain it but it was just so quiet. The other cars that were there were painted and part of the scene. I'm not a religious person so I didn't connect with the messages but it was so amazing to see in person. Jeff and I were only there for about 15 minutes total but I'm really glad we made the trek out there. If you're ever in the area, I recommend it!

Honeymoon pt. 1

Hi again!
I took the last few weeks off from blogging and Jeff and I got married and went on our honeymoon and then I went to Portland Fashion Week!
We had such an amazing wedding and I can't wait to share photos, if you want to get a sneak peek you can check out #rosenlewiswedding on insta for some photos. We had such a good time, we are so blessed by all of our family and our amazing friends!
We took off for Palm Springs for 5 days and immediately got into a good routine of room service breakfast, nap after breakfast, venture out to see some sights or the pool, couples massage, lunch, late dinner, and repeat. We went to Salvation Mountain, Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs Aerial Tram, and I'll share photos of those outings over the next few weeks. I'll also be sharing more photos from Portland Fashion Week.

Summer lately

Wouldn't this be the perfect place for a dinner party with a long table?
This is the courtyard of my apartment building, beautiful!

My fave soup, Carrrot Orange Ginger is back at Wild Pear

Trying to decide whether to keep this bag, it was cheap and almost exactly what I want but
will I still  be wanting the real thing in a few months?

camp!

Hi everyone. You might have noticed some sporadic posts lately, or maybe not. Maybe you notice when I post and not when I don't. Let's hope it's like that. This summer is going to be an interesting one, so I will probably be posting less regularly. A big part of my job at work is helping to plan our biggest event/fundraiser in July, so I will be busy busy working through July, I'll be attending a few weddings, one of my bridesmaids is getting married in August {I'm also a bridesmaid in that wedding}, Jeff is at camp all summer with weekly breaks {it's the first summer we aren't there together since we started dating}, and of course I am finishing up the plans for our September wedding! For a person who hates transition, it's hard to avoid it this summer! I am doing pretty well right now, keeping busy and looking forward to everything. But like I said, all of those things make me tired just thinkng about them so I might not be on my computer much this summer. I will always be updating my instagram though, so feel free to follow me there.

Oh yeah and since Jeff isn't around much this summer, the outfit posts will be few and far between.
