They were so good! And so cute, cue the mini pie photo shoot.

want these too.

On Sunday Abby and I met up to go to the Anthropologie Holiday Window Workshop in downtown Portland. I really had no idea what to expect since their displays are always so amazing, but I knew whatever it was, it would be fun to see first hand. When we were all gathered up in the beginning to hear about our projects and meet the visual team, they described their motto as taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary {love that} and examples of that are using paper towels, and paper clips, like the ones on the wall {cue everyone's amazement once we realized those were paper clips!}
We worked on making paper gems and tying adorable vintage stamp envelopes with matches onto candles while others helped put together the penguins and polar bear that would eventually end up in the window. We also snacked on treats, chatted with other blogger friends {Jenni and Macey}, met new ones {Lia}, and did a little shopping. I may have bought something I've been eyeing for months.

Good news if you weren't able to go on sunday, the Bridgeport Village Anthro is having a few other workshops, just check out this link!
Also, check out Abby's post about the event for some photos of past Anthropologie displays.

Portland Blogger's Night Out:: My Outfit

Nordstrom BP sweater, Gap trousers, BaubleBar necklace {gift from amazing friend Jaime!}

Thanks again to Suzannah for snapping some photos of me and Abby!
It's always so nice to see Portland Bloggers. The last meet up was a more relaxed setting at Bridgeport Brewery in The Pearl. Next meet up is in November and it is a SEO Workshop, which means we'll all be learning more about search engines and how to better utilize the web. I'll be sure to share a reminder about it in a few weeks.

ps. check back next week for some exciting things!

Portland Blogger's Night Out:: Abby

Forever 21 top, Zara pants

Since the last few days were an overload of photos of me, I thought I'd change it up!
Suzannah was kind enough to snap some outfit photos of me and Abby at the Portland Blogger's Night out last Saturday! How amazing does Abby look? I'm in love with everything about her outfit! She was hesitant to take these photos, but aren't you glad I forced her into it?

Off to San Fran!

I'm headed to San Francisco this afternoon! It looks like it's been beautiful in San Francisco and I am crossing my fingers it stays through the weekend! It's also been beautiful in Portland the last few days! I went to lunch with Justine yesterday {at St. Honoré Boulangerie, yum!} and all I could say was "I can't believe how beautiful it is outside!" we even sat outside!

As for San Fran, we don't have many plans yet, but I am most looking forward to catching up with Liz, my brother, his fiancé, and just relaxing. Also eating a lot of good food, yummy drinks, iced chais, taking a ton of photos, instagramming everything, seeing the city, doing a little shopping, exploring the neighborhoods, walking around, and just soaking up each other's awesomeness.

Quiche Lorraine & Sparkling Lemonade at St. Honoré
{more food photos to come in SF}
speaking of French things, I got a birthday gift in the mail from Paris! Thanks Ab! Bueno bars are my fave!! I'm going to try and wait until my birthday to open the gifts. So on top of it, a week early, and all the way from Paris.

Valentine's Day Bridal Shower

Happy Happy Day! Happy Valentine's Day! Today is one of my favorite days and believe me, I loved it just as much before Jeff and I were dating. I love it because it reminds me of love, happiness, fun, pink, red, chocolate, yummy treats, friends, and all my girlfriends!
It's a day to celebrate all the love in your life.

Last year I was a Maid of Honor for my best friend, Liz's, wedding. I was so honored that she asked and I took my role very seriously. I decided to throw a Valentine's Day themed bridal shower since Liz and I both love the day so much. I hit up all the 'day after holiday sales' at Target in preparation for the shower. The shower was in the spring so it was fun to extend our favorite holiday!

Liz's sister was generous enough to host the party in her house. I just showed up with about 10 boxes of decorations and food. Bex moved recently, but it was so nice to have the party in her beautiful home!

ps. has anyone seen the lid to this jar?  lost is somehow in the shuffle of the shower or wedding!

It was such a love filled weekend with best friends. I promise more people showed up than just us four.
Wish I could be celebrating this day with these three!
Don't worry, Jeff and I have fun romantic plans, which I am very excited about!

::Note to future hosts::
Don't make this much food! The food was barely touched {even though it was all homemade and delicious!}. My advice is to have a mix of sweet and savory so it's not overloaded on one or the other.
