It's almost Valentine's Day!

Old Navy mint sweater, Francesca's pleated skirt, Steve Madden Poized heels,
Nordstrom Rack necklace.

It's almost Valentine's Day!
I've been so in love with the mint/red combo for Valentine's Day this year that I had to wear it to a fabulous party on Saturday. I also used it for a bunch of my Valentine's.
I'll be sharing more photos from the lovely girls night valentine's day party soon.
How are you celebrating this lovely holiday?
Exclusively on Thursday or all week/month long?
You know how I feel.

What I Wore: Portland Blogger Meet Up

my lovely friend/bridesmaid/engaged/co-worker, Meg, did my make up this day and
I love it!
Target skirt/belt, sweater, scarf, Banana Republic leggings

I wore this to Saturday's Portland Blogger Meet Up and it was so comfy!
I actually switched out the booties for a flat boot which was great because it was standing room only at the coffee shop! It's so fun to see these events grow each time.
It was great to talk about goals and expectations, and get motivated again.

Thanks for everyone's sweet and kind comments yesterday about the changes I'm making around here! Love you all. Seriously, you're the best.

Also, I'm sure you noticed that almost everything I'm wearing is Target and it's because they have some serious clearance happening right now! Get there right now.

The skirt.

Men's L.L. Bean flannel {Jeff's}, Anthropologie tulle skirt, H&M red flower pin and earrings, J.Crew gold glitter clutch, Target grey wedges

I am in love!!
with this skirt.
{among many other things}
Yes I've been lusting over it for months, yes I got a discount, yes it was still expensive, yes I used the holidays and wedding festivities as justification.
So, not much else to say besides I want to wear it every day.

Black & White

H&M shirt, old Target tulle black skirt, Urban Outfitters black heels, Hue tights, clutch from Buffalo Exchange, iPhone case Agent18 from TJ Maxx

It's been a long time since I was drawn to the classic combination of black and white.
This season is all about black and white for me. I have already worn this outfit twice and just purchased a black and white dress for a few holiday parties coming up. To mix things up, I had to throw in this clutch purchased a few weeks back at Buffalo Exchange. I love that it's out of my comfort zone with the see-through front and skull with sparkle eyes. It also fits with my color philosophy of working in threes. Meaning, I like to have three colors in my outfit. This one being, black, white, brown.
And don't even try to convince me black and brown don't go together.
Same goes for black and navy, I love that too. And that's serious.

PS. Happy 12/12/12!
How many random thoughts can I include in one post?

Copy Cat Friday

Gap and Land's End shirts, Target skirt, Urban Outfitters heels, BaubleBar necklace, Forever 21 bag

So if you follow Blair from Atlantic-Pacific, you already know I took some direct inspiration from one of her recent posts, seen here {and below}. It's one of those outfits she makes look stunning and then I think to myself, I've got all the basic pieces for that, let's try and look half as good as her.

Wish I owned that anthro skirt {obviously now sold out online in cream}.
here's a good cream alternative by Shabby Apple
If you like that, check back next week for some more exciting stuff from me and
Shabby Apple!
Since I'm obviously taking inspiration from another blogger, I thought I'd link up with Sarah from Frills for Thrills and her copycat friday series!

i finally had to return this skirt to it's rightful owner {bff abby} so i had to photograph this outfit that i had been imagining in my head for a month. just because i'm wearing a sweater doesn't mean i'm ready for fall.. still not quite yet. not when it's this amazing out.
