flares are back

Gap wide leg denim {similar flares here and here}
Target Los Angeles tee
Urban Outfitters dolman sweater {similar and similar}
Zara heels {similar}

Flares are back!
I was talking to two of my best friends last night in a group text and I had to break it to them that flares are back. They didn't seem excited but I'm sure they'll come around to it. It won't be like the mid 2000's where we only wore flares, they're just in addition to our faithful skinny jeans and boyfriend jeans, not replacing anything.

I've got my eye on a pair from Madewell. I'm really loving the 70's right now.

Also, what is that sun spot in some of my photos?
Jeff thinks it looks like a bird. I can't unsee it.

for winetasting

J.Crew factory blazer, Target tunic and necklace, Gap Sexy Boyfriend white jeans, Old Navy heels, Madewell Kensington satchel, Zara blanket scarf, Urban Outfitters hat and sunglasses

Saturday was full of wine tasting in McMinnville. This is what I wore, actually I switched into flats and had to ditch the scarf because it turned into such a warm day. We went to Anne Amie Vineyards and had lunch at Nick's Italian Cafe. Go there and have the minestrone soup, immediately. Then I got to see my girl, Justine downtown for a quick second to snap some photos. Sunday was a rest and recoup day.

under the willow tree

I bought Jeff a shirt and then wore it first. Again. I fell in love with the light weight linen of this shirt. I love the short sleeve too. It looks great on Jeff too! He will love it.

Thanks to Leah Hope Photography for these photos.

cobalt love

Leith t-shirt from Savvy Nordstrom, Gap skirt (old), Zara heels, American Apparel clutch, Target necklace, Urban Outfitters aviator sunglasses

I've slowly been adding color back into my daily wardrobe. Mostly cobalt blue so far.
I know the color of the year is Radiant Orchid but I think the real color of the year is blue.
Light blue, cobalt, all the blue.
I picked up a pair of cobalt heels {affordable pair, dream pair} and I just ordered this dress,
more is more right?

ps. this skirt is one of those pieces of clothing that I've had for years and I'm so glad I never got rid of it.

this weekend

Happy Friday!
I'm excited that Jeff and I are staying close to home this weekend. Friends from out of town will be here, there's going to be a BBQ, wine tasting, brunching, coffee, all the good stuff.
It's all centered around food of course! That's what we do best.
Happy weekend everyone, I hope it's a good one!

polka dots, sun and a cat

shirt c/o Ross

1. I love this new shirt I got from Ross, it's light and comfy and has cute light blue polka dots!

2. While I was at Ross I also purchased a black jumpsuit {!!}
I've been looking for one for a while and this one might make a debut this weekend!

3. Stay tuned for a giveaway from Ross!
Also: two new Ross stores just opened in Portland, so get shopping.
{Mohawk Gallery Building
700 SW 3rd Avenue
Portland, OR 97204

Division Crossing
16339 SE Division Street
Portland, OR 97236}

4. It's been so sunny and gorgeous!

5. This cat has been living outside our front door and if you know Jeff, you know it's killing him that we can't keep it/let it in our apartment. The cat keeps getting more brave and was getting close to us during this little photo session, even tried to rub up on my legs{I am not a cat person}. You can see when Jeff got distracted by all the cat photos. The only thing keeping us from having any animals is our apartment doesn't allow them.
{good news for me, sad for Jeff}

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary gift card from Ross to use how I wish.
I did not receive additional compensation for this blog post.
The choice to blog was my own and all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you.

gap love

Gap sweater, scarf and coated jeans, Sam Edelman Petty booties, Fossil watch

I've been really into Gap lately. Clearly. My whole outfit here is Gap and you can see a few more items I've purchased recently here and hereI go through phases where I re-discover stores and only shop at one place for a while. Right now it's Gap. I have a best friend who has always been a Gap girl, even when she lived in France for a year, her favorite items from Europe were from the French Gap. I guess she knows a good thing when she finds it! Taking a cue from her, I started watching their sales and they always have a promo code if you're on their email list. Anyone else loving Gap lately? or always?
