flares are back

Gap wide leg denim {similar flares here and here}
Target Los Angeles tee
Urban Outfitters dolman sweater {similar and similar}
Zara heels {similar}
Urban Outfitters hat

Flares are back!
I was talking to two of my best friends last night in a group text and I had to break it to them that flares are back. They didn't seem excited but I'm sure they'll come around to it. It won't be like the mid 2000's where we only wore flares, they're just in addition to our faithful skinny jeans and boyfriend jeans, not replacing anything.

I've got my eye on a pair from Madewell. I'm really loving the 70's right now.

Also, what is that sun spot in some of my photos?
Jeff thinks it looks like a bird. I can't unsee it.

for winetasting

J.Crew factory blazer, Target tunic and necklace, Gap Sexy Boyfriend white jeans, Old Navy heels, Madewell Kensington satchel, Zara blanket scarf, Urban Outfitters hat and sunglasses

Saturday was full of wine tasting in McMinnville. This is what I wore, actually I switched into flats and had to ditch the scarf because it turned into such a warm day. We went to Anne Amie Vineyards and had lunch at Nick's Italian Cafe. Go there and have the minestrone soup, immediately. Then I got to see my girl, Justine downtown for a quick second to snap some photos. Sunday was a rest and recoup day.

midnight gift

J.Crew factory peter pan top, J.Crew factory skimmer pants, Target coat,
Zara heels, American Apparel clutch

At work, my co-worker named this outfit Midnight Gift {and he specified "not in a weird way"}.

This day ended up sunny but after a few weeks of gorgeous weather it was hard to pull out my wintery work clothes for a few days of showers. Bring back the sun!
But it gave me a chance to photograph this outfit which are all pieces I've had for months but haven't had a chance to take photos.

1// Thanks to my BFF for gifting me this cute Peter Pan collar sweater for Christmas!
2// I bought this coat on clearance so obviously it was past the season to wear it but I loved it.
At least I'll have it for next season right?
3// And someone please tell me why I didn't buy these skimmer pants in all the colors?
I love wearing cropped pants to work because I can wear flats as opposed to a wide leg pant that usually calls for heels. I threw on my favorite heels here but I usually wear flats to work.

what i wore: easter

Target top, Forever 21 blazer, J.Crew factory jeans, Madewell Kensington Satchel, Zara sandals

What I wore on Easter.
Jeff and I had a very casual Easter Sunday which was great.
We've been so busy lately that it felt awesome to rest up and take a lap around the neighborhood before walking to Starbucks for an iced coffee. Right now Jeff is obsessed with talking about building a computer and I'm obsessed with talking about getting new furniture. Needless to say we did a lot of online browsing and catching up on TV. It was awesome.

Also, this shirt was a lot cuter the last time I wore it because I had a tan.
Now it just looks flesh color and like it blends in a little too much.

all black

Target sweater and pants, Zara heels {similar}

A few more photos from my day out with fashion blogger Lavenda. It was such a grey and rainy day, we mostly stayed inside all day. Stayed warm and dry looking at books in a vintage store.

lazy fashion

Leith t-shirt from Nordstrom Savvy, old Target jacket, Nordstrom BP scarf, J.Crew toothpick white jeans, Franco Sarto flats from Nordstrom Rack

Remember when I used to wear bright colors and tights and dresses and skirts and 3 necklaces and 20 bracelets and tons of layers and all that crazy stuff? I feel like all I wear now are outfits like the last few on my blog, way more casual and way comfortable. I still wear dresses and skirts to work since they can be more professional than blue jeans but it feels like so much work! I am getting lazy these days. I still love dressing up for parties and events but every day is a lot more black/white/grey/jeans.
I'm know the holidays will bring lots of fun reasons to dress up!

thank goodness it's friday

Urban Outfitters sweater, Leith from Nordstrom Savvy t-shirt, Merona Target coated jeans, Candie's booties from Kohl's, Target necklace, Sunnies c/o sunglass warehouse

tgif!
It's been a long week, Jeff's been sick all week and I hate that it's dark when I get done with work at 5:30! But it was sunny for most of yesterday so I took full advantage of Jeff being home on my lunch break and the sun and snapped these photos in the middle of the day!

This weekend will be much quieter than last which will be great.
Time for all that fun stuff like organizing, laundry, grocery shopping, using some Starbucks coupons, blogging, catching up on shows and resting up.
Happy Friday!

Delicate jewelry

Lush dress from Nordstrom BP {old}, shoes and bag from Marshall's, Target necklace,
bridesmaid gift bracelet, Fossil watch, Anthropologie sunnies

I haven't worn this dress in years but I finally pulled it out and it's perfect for this warm muggy weather we've been having. The bracelet I'm wearing was given to all the bridesmaids from Meaghan. isn't it gorgeous? It's by Samantha Mellow and I've been wearing it non-stop since Friday! I purchased the necklace to wear in the wedding and I've also been wearing that non-stop since Friday.

Peaches

Target shirt, shoes and belt, Old Navy jeans, J.Crew factory necklace

The outfit I wore on Saturday for the beginning of my bachelorette weekend in Bend!
I needed something casual for the drive, something bright to fight the grey weather, and something fun and new for the weekend (the shirt). It was such a fabulous start to the weekend!
