early summer

The sun has been amazing in Oregon the last few weeks. I'm ready for summer now. Summer is going to be filled with so many fun things, first up is a week of camp, then a Southern California vacation, a wedding, hopefully a few weekend trips to Portland, Bend, the Oregon Coast, lots of BBQ's, all the fun stuff.

for winetasting

J.Crew factory blazer, Target tunic and necklace, Gap Sexy Boyfriend white jeans, Old Navy heels, Madewell Kensington satchel, Zara blanket scarf, Urban Outfitters hat and sunglasses

Saturday was full of wine tasting in McMinnville. This is what I wore, actually I switched into flats and had to ditch the scarf because it turned into such a warm day. We went to Anne Amie Vineyards and had lunch at Nick's Italian Cafe. Go there and have the minestrone soup, immediately. Then I got to see my girl, Justine downtown for a quick second to snap some photos. Sunday was a rest and recoup day.

tuesday reads

Happy Tuesday!
I started reading The Vacationeers this weekend.
It feels good to read again. It's been too long.
Any good book suggestions?

my sunday dress

Forever 21 blue floral kimono and black tank dress, H&M belt, Ecote hat from Urban Outfitters, Urban Outfitters sunglasses, Gap factory d'orsay flats, asos x and midi ring, H&M gem ring

It's been a while since I shared an outfit here.
If you've seen me in person in the last 6 weeks, you know that I've probably worn this dress about once a week. If you're my husband, you definitely know I've worn it at least once a week since I bought it. There were a couple weekends in a row where I wore this on Sunday. I started to think of it as my Sunday dress, and then this week I wore it on Saturday. Wild, I know.
I just picked up this hat for fall/winter.
I wore my panama hat so much this summer {as in my last three outfit posts!}, that I decided I wanted a cooler weather option. That still doesn't mean I'm ready for fall. I'm very happy it's still warm!

heat wave

Old Navy tank, Asos skirt, Madewell Kensington satchel, Target sandals

I'm personally loving this hot weather. Sometimes I think we should move somewhere warm but then I just can't imagine not living in Oregon. This warm weather reminds me of our honeymoon {part 1, part 2, part 3}, and it was at least 15 degrees warmer there! I much prefer to be warm than cold.

a life update

Happy Wednesday!
This week doesn't seem any less busy than the last few weeks. It's that time of year!
This is the busiest time of year at my job, we have our biggest event/fundraiser next week.
It's going to be great but it's also bittersweet because it's the last event I'll work at my current job.
Because I accepted a new job!

Without going into too much detail, it's transition time for me. I'll be at another local non-profit doing the same type of work I've been doing, helping to organize the fundraising events. I've loved my job the last few years and I am looking forward to the next chapter. Jeff will also be starting a new job in the fall, he will be a 5th grade teacher! We've had a few bumps in the road this past year and I really feel like we are on an upswing and we are starting to live the life we are supposed to live. I am never a fan of transitions but I am looking forward to this one for both of us. I'll be starting my new job in August, which means things might be slower here again. I'll always keep my instagram up to date though.

Thank you to all our friends and family that have been so supportive and excited for both of us!

neon pleats

Remember when I mentioned that I'm in love with this dress and my best friends have it in other colors and that I would be borrowing those? I wasn't kidding. Best Friend from Seattle came down for the #MillerGrayWedding on Thursday, she wore it to that wedding and then I promptly borrowed it for a wedding on Saturday. The weather's been so warm, this was a perfect summer evening dress.
Thanks BFF!

pleated perfection

Nordstrom BP panama hat (similar), Urban Outfitters aviator sunglasses

I've been keeping it simple these days.
This is one of my most versatile and easiest dresses.
I wear it like this or with a t-shirt or a chambray shirt tied over it and it's so comfortable.
It's easy to pack for trips, it keeps it's shape and it's super roomy.
I would love it in every color! My best friend has the neon green color {sadly, no longer available but lucky for me I can borrow it!} and my other best friend chose the milk color {also no longer available, also lucky for me I can borrow it} for my wedding, it's just a perfect dress!
I picked up this hat yesterday and it's a great addition for these sunny days, I could wear this outfit everyday and be so happy and comfy.
